Step 2: Using Forgiveness to Expand

How You Know You Are Ready to Forgive 

In the forgiveness process, when you mentally think about a person your body will react physically if you hold energy from them that is yet unacknowledged.

When you’re ready to move into forgiveness with someone you will no longer feel a physical reaction when you think of them, but you maintain awareness of energy in your third chakra that is associated with that person.

Energy movement and flow have an open quality that they didn’t previously have.

Use Acknowledged Energy to Expand Yourself

In order to truly forgive someone else, you must acknowledge the energy that’s present in your third chakra and then use that energy to expand yourself into a larger and more complete version of yourself.

By doing this, you welcome and allow energy that you previously resisted and denied. You use that energy — not in an explosive reaction — but in a conscious manner, to move into a larger and more complete version of Who You Are.

Go Slowly, Fully Acknowledge ALL Energy 

The thing to keep in mind when you want to forgive someone is that you must fully acknowledge all the energy that you’ve inadvertently stored in your third chakra.

There may be layers upon layers upon layers of stored energy from the person you wish to forgive. 

Don’t Judge Yourself

You must be ruthlessly honest with yourself about everything that’s there and how you feel about it, and to allow yourself to be totally okay with the feelings that you are having.

Don’t move into self recrimination or self judgments, which only adds additional layers of resentment against the other and creates in your mind additional transgressions you think they’ve performed.

Simply notice all stored energy, carefully uncover every layer of it, and then consciously use it to expand Who You Are.

And Then…Let Go

You can never expunge anything from your being, because you are already All That Is. What you can do, however, is to let go.

How You Know You Are Ready to Let Go

One way to let go is by imagining you are releasing the stored grudge energy. You will know you are ready for this step if…

  • you are confident that you’ve examined everything in your being that relates to the person you wish to forgive
  • you’ve examined and felt all your emotions about the situation
  • you no longer feel emotion when you think of the person you wish to forgive
  • you no longer feel tightness or constriction in your third chakra area when you think of the person you wish to forgive
  • you still feel emotion when you think of the person but you’re at peace with what you feel

Imagine the Stored Energy is Part of You

Now you are ready to imagine all that energy belonging to the other person that was stored in your third chakra as becoming a part of You. This process allows you to step into a larger and more complete version of yourself.

FORGIVENESS IMAGINATION PROCESS

This is a short imagination process that uses your conscious awareness to move your third chakra energy storage to where it better serves you and others.

Imagine the stored energy as a dark cloud gathered in the area just above and inside your third chakra. 

Use all your senses to imagine this cloud: see the dark cloud in your mind, feel its presence on your skin and in your body, smell the cloud, hear its blanketing silence, taste its acrid/metallic/bitter flavor.

Now imagine the dark cloud becoming less dense, and more like smoke. The cloud continues to become less and less dense and more and more like smoke.

Now imagine your body is in the midst of this large cloud of smoke that is 18 inches larger than your body in all directions: left, right, front, back, head, feet. Imagine that you are completely enveloped in this cloud of increasingly less dense smoke.

Continue imagining the cloud of smoke that surrounds you as it becomes less and less dense and more and more clear. Eventually the cloud of smoke that surrounds you becomes entirely clear.

You May Need to Repeat the Process

This imagination process can take time to complete. You may need to repeat it more than once to imagine the smoke as becoming entirely clear. Once you sense no more smoke, your process is complete.

What the Imagination Process Does

This imagination process will not get rid of energy, but instead allows the energy to move to a place within you that serves to expand you.

There is no energy in you that is not a gift to yourself and to the world.  Forgiveness is a process that helps you see this Truth for yourself.

The Work is in Acknowledging the Energy

The hard work of forgiveness is all that you’ve done to get yourself ready to expand.

The hard work is the ability to acknowledge what you’re holding your third chakra and to let go of the impulse to suppress anything that might be hiding there.

Doing this is what often takes a person years to accomplish. This is why true forgiveness often takes a long time.

Results of Forgiveness Are Worth It

Every act of true forgiveness will make you a more complete and whole person.

In the process, you transmute energy that had been hurting you into something that helps you become more complete and whole.

Forgiveness increases your ability to experience joy.
