THE SPARK THAT IS YOU LIVES MANY TIMES IN DIFFERENT GUISES
Your eternal spark has lived many times, in many different bodies, in many different times throughout history.
You chose to come here in order to learn all about being human. Being human is a vast and complicated experience, and a single lifetime is not enough to learn all that you wanted to learn about living in a human body, so you chose to come back time and again so that you could experience all that you wanted to experience.
You were probably alive when the Great Pyramids were being built. You were probably alive when the Great Wall of China was being built. You may have been alive when Shakespeare wrote his beautiful sonnets and time-honored plays. You may have been alive when Leonardo da Vinci was painting the Mona Lisa, or when Michelangelo was on his back painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. You may have been alive when Alexander the Great conquered Persia, or when the Rig Veda was composed in India.
Even though you have lived many times, in many different bodies and in many different times throughout history, you probably do not remember those times. If you remembered everything that you have learned through your many lifetimes, then your life now would be very different. You would not make the same choices and you would not be as open as you need to be to living the different experiences that make up your life now. So you only take with you the memories that you need in order to live a life filled with opportunities to learn and grow.
The eternal spark in you remembers everything. It is possible to access the eternal spark in you and remember aspects of your different lifetimes from other times and other places. One method of remembering is called “past life regression”. Some people spontaneously remember aspects from their other times and other places, triggered by things like events, scents, tastes, or travel. Many children readily remember some of their other times and other places, and if they are encouraged to explore those memories can retain them for life.
