Things on Earth and for humanity continue to shift rapidly. There is no precedence for this, nothing to hold onto that has happened before, either in your present life or in past lives. So it is not uncommon to feel completely uprooted and adrift during this time.
An apt metaphor is that of standing on enormous stones that move into a new position once a magic word has been uttered. The word has been uttered, and the stones of reality are shifting under your feet.
This is, at the very least, disconcerting.
It is helpful at this time to connect to small things that help you remember your humanity and connect you to the Earth. Spending time underneath a tree, petting your cat or dog, reading a story of one person helping another for seemingly no reason, feeling your breath move in and out of your body. Small things that bring you into your body, into this moment.
There is so much happening all at once and most of you feel this in some way. So to consistently bring yourself back into your body, back to THIS moment, gives you a brief respite.
What exactly is happening to humanity and the Earth? Essentially, the very foundations that have existed for millennia are shifting. Structures of society, economics, politics, everything you can imagine, are crumbling. You see it now, you feel it. The old ways no longer serve us, so they are being dismantled before our very eyes to make room for the new.
Some new ways already exist. Look to countries such as Norway, and what is happening this year in New York City, for inspiration. This gives you a glimpse into the future, and can offer a ray of hope that is vital during this time of turbulent change.
This exponential shift affects us in many ways. Personally, you may be finding yourself at a crossroads, a choice point, to take your life in a completely new direction. New opportunities emerge, relationships that once felt solid dissolve, dissatisfaction in how you’ve been living may arise and give cause for despair.
At the same time, there is upheaval on a physical level. Earthquakes, flash floods, and oppressive heat are just a few examples of how this overall shift manifests on a physical level. You may feel overwhelming grief at the lives lost, and a sense of powerlessness to help.
Again, when you feel overwhelmed, take your awareness back to your own body. Sit with your breath. Feel how it fills you and you return it to the world. You are an essential part of a great mandala, an enormous tapestry, that together humanity creates. You are needed, right now, just as you are. Otherwise you wouldn’t be here.
September brings us a brief respite at the beginning of the month, and then more and deeper shifts. The momentum of change is increasing. It cannot be stopped. Prepare to be shocked and surprised over and over by what happens. Keep bringing yourself back to the microcosm of your body and your loved ones. You are here. You exist. That is good.
The future brings us a completely new way of interrelating as humans, that creates new structures to replace the old ones. 50 years from now, 100 years, life looks very different. A largely co-created communal-based society. You may not be here for that, in your current life, but it is coming and your descendants will experience it. A ray of light ahead in the tunnel.
Meanwhile, you chose (as a soul) to be here now, to contribute in your unique way to this massive shift in humanity. On a soul level, this is an exciting time to be in a body, to get to be a part of this. You chose your exact circumstances—family, place of birth, life lesson focuses, major life experiences—to shape you into the person you are now. All your experience has been important, to bring you to this moment, THIS one, right now, in which you breathe in the air of life and breathe it back out, having transformed because of you.
Everything you do matters. You wouldn’t be here if it didn’t.
