Cats dream and meditate
Animals such as cats experience dreams. However, while in the dream state cats have more awareness of their ability to manipulate astral matter than do most humans.
Cats also experience a meditative-type state. You often see this with cats that appear be sitting and staring off into space. They aren't consciously meditating, but they are in a light hypnotic state, similar to a trance. In that meditative-type state they have a different awareness of their bodies than they do when they are fully awake and alert, and have a greater connection to the consciousness that is all cats on a collective basis.
Do cats think individually or collectively?
Both.
When they are fully in their bodies, cats are more or less individualized and have purely individual thought, with some awareness of the collectiveness that they are.
When cats are in a meditative or dream state, they have greater awareness of the collectiveness that they are.
How is cat thought different from human thought?
(It is difficult to express to you what ”cat thought” is, given the limitations you have of the type of thought that you engage in.)
Cat thinking lives on a couple different levels: instinctive and experiential.
On a basic level cat thoughts are about their instinctive behaviors: hunting, food, toileting.
On another level, cat thought is purely experiential, experienced and expressed as color, sound, energetic input, and sensations.
In contrast, human thought tends to be action related. Humans can also think abstactly, but overall human thought relies heavily on the four dimensions that are the physical plane.
How do cats interact with physical objects?
Cats see and regard objects as energetic rather than as completely solid. They are less attached to the solid nature of matter than humans are.
For example, think about a piece of furniture in your house like a sofa.
Cats are relatively certain that a sofa will exist when they want to jump onto it, ut they are also aware that the sofa exists because you (in collective human thought) have created its existence and maintain its solidity by your belief that it will continue to exist.
Cats awareness has no such certainty. This is why you may observe a cat appearing surprised by certain physical objects, even ones that have been in the cat's environment for a long time.
