Future of Humanity: Long Term Big Picture

Recently I posted my State of the Planet reading for September 2026, in which I mentioned how we are in the middle of a vast transformation on Earth that affects all of humanity and all the myriad ways we interact with one another. Economically, socially, politically, everything. Including structural racism, colonialism, patriarchy, etc.

 

All of this—everything we think we know to be true about the world and how humanity operates—is in the midst of change. The old structures must collapse so that new ones, ones better suited to the co-created, communal, Relating Soul world that is coming, that we’re on the verge of, can emerge.

 

Obviously, this collapse affects all of us. Some of us more than others. And those of us who feel things—whose hearts are open and compassionate—are feeling the effects of these shifts. It is difficult not to.

 

Okay. Imagine you can zoom out to a bird’s-eye view. No, higher than a bird. The view from the Moon, say. 

 

From the Moon you can see the Earth and imagine what is happening there but you’re not close enough to feel it. The people down there are too tiny to see. You are safe where you are. You are safe. Feel that? Come back to this feeling if anything you read that follows feels too intense.

 

Imagine now that humanity’s evolution is the alphabet, A to Z. A long long time ago we started at A. Z is the eventual objective. And now, let’s say that humanity has advanced to about L. But this massive shift we are amidst takes humanity to Q. In between L and Q are a lot of letters. The shift takes us (seemingly) quickly from L to Q. Wow, that’s a big jump.

 

The shift has been happening for a long time now, incrementally. It’s just that recently, things have sped up a lot and a massive amount of momentum has been created, like a cartoon snowball that rolls down a snowy hill and becomes an avalanche. So it feels now like things are moving very fast.

 

Because Q is a very different place than L, a lot has to happen to get from L to Q.

 

Let’s be more specific now. (Remember, you’re on the Moon looking down at the Earth, which is very far away.)

 

The main thing is, a whole lot of people need to transition off the planet. In other words, they need to uh, die. Earth cannot support 8 billion people. 3-4 billion is a much more doable number. So about half of us need to go. More or less.

 

In order to make this happen, many things now exist. Climate change brings flooding, famine, disease, heat devastation, crop failure. We’ve had a pandemic (we’re still having it, but it’s being ignored now because it’s much more controlled and less of a mystery). The current USA political milieu has devastated safeguards in the food supply, as well is actively attempting to destroy public health standards, incarcerate people with brown skin, and is starting wars with other countries for seemingly no good reason. In addition, genocides exist around the world. Many of them. And no one seems to be doing much about them. Expect more horrible things like these to keep emerging over the coming years. I’m not going to sugarcoat it: things will oftentimes seem brutal.

 

All of these things, all these lives, all these people suffering, is of course absolutely terrible. All of you reading this have lived many lifetimes before and have died in innumerably horrible ways. You are no stranger to this. In part, this is why you have such compassion for the suffering of others.

 

(Back up to the Moon, now, just zoom right up there and take a nice deep breath.)

 

Q, where humanity is headed in the next 100 years or so, is a much nicer state than A through L, where humanity has been. I’ll speak about that in a separate post. I promise you’ll like it.

 

So, who or what decides which among us goes and who stays?

 

Humanity is like an enormous tapestry, each one of us a tiny thread that together makes up the whole picture. To change the picture, sometimes you can just cut sections out of the tapestry. Sometimes you pull out individual threads, one by one. What we’re  looking at is entire sections—swaths—being ripped away.

 

Who decides? Well, you do. We do. On a soul level, an essence level. Some of it is collective. Together, as all of humanity, we choose. We choose because as a collective entity (all of humanity) on a soul level we know about Q and we know certain things have to happen to get us there. Consequently, individual souls make choices or already made choices long ago that put them on the chopping block, so to speak. It’s all voluntary, on a soul level.

 

Another thing you should know is how absolutely stupendously FUN it is to live as a soul inside a human body. As souls, we WANT to have experiences, ALL TYPES OF EXPERIENCES, because experiences are what leads to growth and growth is what we all want to do as a soul.

 

So, everything, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING, that you can possibly imagine happening to a human—even the parts that feel to us like terrible pain and suffering—ARE WANTED AND ARE FUN.

 

It’s like doing a cannonball into a big swimming pool and then climbing out to do it again. Why? BECAUSE IT’S FUN.

 

So, on a soul level, agreeing to be one of the 4 billion who dies in the next few decades is no big deal. Fine, we’ll just jump in next time when we can take another turn. Wheeeee!

 

I once had a near death experience in a hospital emergency room. It was amazing. I was in a ”place” of pure golden light that was made of love. Everything was capital-L Love, and everything was okay. Better than okay. Everything was fantastic. And I knew I had a choice. I could stay in that realm of Love and golden light, or I could remain in my (then) cancer-riddled body and continue my life as Talyaa. So I chose to return, BECAUSE I KNEW IT WOULD BE FUN.

 

(Has it always been ”fun”? No, of course not. I am still a soul living in a human body like all of us, and like all of us I have multitudinous challenges. But wow, to get to live in a human body is a gift I don’t take for granted.)

 

To sum up, humanity is presently undergoing a huge shift that will basically re-create how humans interact with one another. The shift takes us to a much more pleasant way of co-existing than the past few thousand years have been. But in order to make that shift, several things need to happen and are already happening, the biggest of which is a massive reduction in population. On a soul level, this is not a problem, in fact, it’s all part of the fun of getting to be a soul living in a human body.
