All About Demons

What are demons?

Demons are energy collected as a single unifying force.

They are a conglomeration of energy that acts in unison in order to create a specific outcome.

Demons do not have a consciousness the way you may think of consciousness, but they do have a collective spirit and collective expected outcome of their energetic collaboration.

A collection of energies

A useful analogy may be the concept of “dust devils” or “whirlwinds”. These are climactic events, small tornadoes of air current, that on an energy basis are a temporary collective of energy manifested as unified air currents that act as a unit.

Demons are much the same — a collection of energies that act on a temporary basis as a unit in order to influence a specific outcome.

Are demons directed by anything?

Demons are not directed by anyone or anything. They are remnants of energies left from other activities, such as human births and deaths, or the building of villages or temples.

Demons can lie dormant

Demons can remain “in hiding”, or uninvoked, for lengthy periods of time (potentially thousands of years). In this state of rest, demons are harmless and usually imperceptible to most humans. Animals, especially dogs, snakes, and monkeys, have keen awareness of dormant demons and will go to great lengths to avoid them. Other animals such as cats, elephants, and alligators find demons humorous and will attempt to bring them out of dormancy if found.

What happens when a dormant demon becomes active?

When demons are invoked or otherwise brought out of dormancy into an active state, they have only one objective — to fulfill their purpose. They ignore any person or thing that does not figure into the fulfillment of their objective. Because of this, most demons are largely harmless to most people.

Active demons remain in a state of activity only as long as it takes to complete their objective, after which the energies involved dissipate and re-integrate with the All-That-Is. For some this takes only a few seconds, for others it may take several years.

How to recognize a demon

Since demons are a collection of energies, they are largely invisible to most humans.

If you have the ability to “see” energies with what we call Othersight, then you may be able to glimpse an occasional demon, but even this mostly only happens when you are involved in the demon’s objective.

If you do have Othersight, demons look like an amorphous glimmering darkness, usually about the size of a large dog, but sometimes are quite small (size of a grapefruit).

The sense of glimmering darkness is their most notable visual characteristic.

You may also sense a slight foreboding, as if you know that something is about to go wrong. These are usually on the order of a “Murphy’s Law” outcome (“whatever can go wrong, will”), and not on the level of calamity.

Typical demon objectives

Demons exist to throw small wrenches into the smoothly-greased works of humans and other beings. Being in a human body is often challenging enough as it is, but many people seem to attract the energies of demons in order to experience additional challenges.

These challenges, again, are not typically calamitous, but do add an element of “spice” or “work” to the business of being a human in a body on Earth. Some examples of demon objectives are:

  • long lines at the DMV
  • losing your wallet
  • fender benders
  • forgetting your spouse’s birthday/anniversary
  • small household objects that “disappear” (and later “reappear” — more on this later)
  • being unaccountably late for an event despite planning ahead
  • can’t find an object even though you knew it was RIGHT THERE
  • bruises that seem to come from nowhere
  • hearing things that “aren’t” there
  • computer glitches

Demons aren't actually evil

Demons are not part of “dark” energy or anything “evil”. They are simply a collection of “leftover” energies that come together in order to make human life a little more interesting.

Some people attract many demons in their lives; others will live their whole life without ever encountering the work of a demon. Some of this is the luck of the draw, and some is due to choices on a soul level (some souls like the extra challenges that demons provide, and welcome them).

Why are demons demonized?

Through the ages, when events were unexplained, humans learned to attribute them to the works of gods.

When god-worship and religion changed to the point of assigning the labels of “good” and “bad” to events, then the challenging unexplained events wrought by demons became thought of as “bad”, brought by emissaries of the Great Collective of Bad, which religion named the “Devil”.

It was easier to anthropomorphize these energy collectives (demons) and use the fear of them to control people’s actions than it was to maintain the deep sacred knowledge that all energy is connected and that mysterious events are part of normal human energetic interactions.

Don't be afraid, be curious!

You needn’t be afraid of demons! If you ever sense an amorphous glimmering darkness around you, get curious. You are likely about to experience something slightly challenging and definitely mysterious.

If you keep your eyes, heart, and spirit open, you may find that you feel an extra connection to the All-That-Is through its little emissary, your demon.

I’ve spent the past ten days in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, far from my present home in the northeast but closer, much closer, to my true spiritual home, and during this time one of my specific goals was to immerse myself into a deeper connection with Nature.  Though my home is in a semi-rural area, affording me an opportunity to frequently bike through rolling hills amid cornfields and farmhouses, I really don’t feel all that connected with the nature element of it usually.  Perhaps it’s because I don’t connect energetically with the space, or resist a deeper connection; perhaps it’s the human element in a long-inhabited space that has overwritten the elements of nature, but in any case I felt a huge difference in my little cabin in the forest, a short walk from the beach, easily moving into a space of love and appreciation for Nature and my place within it.  I spent several hours roaming the trails through the forest, meandering along the beach, and standing in the rain under the trees at night.

And then I upped the ante considerably and spent some time in a different forest last night.

I entered the forest under a nearly-full moon, bright on a cloudless night, and instantly I felt a different sort of welcoming, an embrace, an invitation.  Through connecting with the trees who are themselves all connected and always aware of that connection to one another, to the earth, and to All That Is, I could reach back into time and feel roots tapping into the dawning of human consciousness on the planet with such primordial innocence that it took my breath away.

At the same time I was aware of every possibility that continues to stretch before us in time: possibilities for each one of us and all the myriad possibilities available at any given moment, every choice, every road taken and not taken, and I felt vast, knowing that I was a part of everything that ever has been and everything still yet to come.  I was as tall as the trees and as bright as the moon, and I turned my face toward her, accepting the spotlight, fully acknowledging my completeness and perfection.

To say this was a joyous and magical experience doesn’t quite do it justice.

But it served as a wonderful reminder, one that I will take back to my home with me and one that I offer you now, that our connection with Nature is an essential of simply being human.  It’s part of us, and to deny it is to deny part of Self.

Afterwards, I channeled this:

There is of course value in connecting with animals, trees, and other elements of what you consider to be “nature”. These elements, are of course, part of your home, part of your world, and are as such connected to you, to humans, in a very intimate way.  You share space.  You share air.  You share resources.  Not only that, but you share in the creation of your world, the global creation of the reality you know as life on the physical plane.  And because of that, there is an undying connection between you as a human and ALL of the so-called “natural” elements of Nature.

Some of you feel this connection more deeply, more emotionally, than others.  Some feel a return, when confronted with Nature, especially in her most raw state, to that innocent and childlike state of simply Being, existing, that lies dormant within all of you.  And as such, you feel it deeply when one of nature’s children, one element of the intricate tapestry that is constantly being woven and re-created, moves through natural transition into another state.  There is, for you, a deep sense of loss, as there is the recognition not only of the timelessness of transformation and the cycles of life on the planet, but also of the transference of human-type connection to an element of nature.  You can mostly only experience connection with nature by transferring those feelings to a more human perspective, and when loss of an element of nature, such as a pet or tree, occurs, there is transference to the human state of grief.

We have mentioned the energetic connections between you and your pets and we wish to elaborate.  Again, not only is there a very real symbolic connection here (discovery of Self, of Love, of perspective: these things were gained through and with your interaction), but also there HAVE in most cases indeed been some past-life associations.  Though most animals live lives in mainly hive-type soul arrangements, there is a constancy of energy that can flow generation after generation through one individual animal to another, and even of course crossing boundaries of species.  There has been for many of you, then, a common thread through many lifetimes of connection with various elements of nature, and it is this thread, now running through you and the pets you love, that has touched this present lifetime.

The lessons from connection to Nature are many and varied and often depend on the individual, but regardless of perspective there is ALWAYS growth opportunity through human connection with Nature.  After all, it is your home.  It is your LIFE.  To deny Nature is denying an aspect of Self, and to fully EMBRACE Nature, to ACCEPT it in all its splendor, ugliness, and beauty, is a HUGE step in actually accepting your Self.
